CAST to Host Event on Airport Terminal Expansion

This Wednesday the Sheridan-Johnson Counties Critical Air Service Team (CAST) and the Sheridan County Commissioners will host a preview and Q&A session concerning the Sheridan County Airport Terminal Building expansion project and local air service.

The session and ribbon-cutting will celebrate the completion of the airport terminal expansion project and is by invite only, limited to CAST board members, local media, Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce representatives, County and City Officials and staff, representatives from SkyWest Airlines, and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The event will begin Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 with a Question and Answer period, with the ribbon-cutting to follow at 3.

The airport terminal expansion project added roughly 4,300 square feet of space to the terminal and remodeled parts of the existing space.

There is an increase in the TSA screening area and a larger hold area for passengers waiting to board that have been screened, along with restrooms in that area.
