SCSD#2 Board Approves Dates for Upcoming Graduations

At the Monday, May 4, SCSD#2 Board Meeting, the board addressed setting graduation days for the 2027-2028 and 2029 graduations.

Due to conflicts with the WHSAA (Wyoming High School Athletics Association) activities over the Memorial Day weekend, the board approved a Friday graduation for those upcoming years.

Superintendent Scott Stults said that in a survey conducted by the school district, the feedback indicated that Friday graduation was favorable.

This year, SHS graduation will be held on Sunday, May 24 beginning at 11 a.m. at the High School.

Stults, in his superintendent report, talked about how much the school systems owes to SCSD#2 staff during staff appreciation week.

Stults also talked about recalibration, which is an on going challenge for the schools. He talked about how the school is dealing with the different form of funding that the state recently approved.

The board also approved the school lunch prices for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, and they approved the 2027-2028 school calendar.

The next meeting will be held on June 8 at the Central Office. The meetings are open to the public.
