UW College of Law Postpones Gorsuch Visit

The University of Wyoming College of Law has postponed the on-campus visit of United States Supreme Court Associate Justice Neal Gorsuch amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Gorsuch was originally scheduled to appear on campus September 16-17 in honor of the College of Law’s 100th anniversary. According to a news release from the University of Wyoming, Gorsuch’s visit will now take place in the fall of 2021. An exact date will be announced at a later time.
UW College of Law Dean Klint Alexander said that they want to be mindful of the health concerns in the community, as well as the health of the justice. He said that the structure of the events will remain the same for Gorsuch’s visit in 2021 with a public event during the afternoon and a gala celebration in the evening. Alexander said that more details on those events will be made available in the future.
