Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse and spoke on a recent update from the Johnson County Travel and Tourism.

According to the 2024 Wyoming Economic Impact of Travel Analysis, Johnson County collected approximately $1.2 million in tourism that year.

Schrader called tourism “one of the three legs on the stool of success”, alongside minerals and agriculture as being primary revenue sources for the county.

Scheduled to premier in the coming summer season, the documentary was directed by Stephen Howard Tucker with Bighorn Films™. Commissioned by the Johnson County Tourism Association, the film explores the western legends around Johnson County and The-Hole-in-the-Wall.

Often used by outlaws in the late frontier period of the nation, The-Hole-in-the-Wall includes a narrow gateway that opens into a secluded basin surrounded by rock walls, high ridges and rough country that naturally discourages travel.
