Sheridan/Johnson County Unemployment Numbers Don’t Change Much In December 2025

Wyoming’s unemployment rate in December did not change much from the previous month.

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says the statewide seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for December 2025 was at 3.4%, which is unchanged from the previous month.

The rate was at 3.5% in December 2024.

The US Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for December 2025 was at 4.4%, which is down from 4.5% in November, and up from 4.1% in December 2024.

Sheridan County’s unemployment rate in December was at 3.3%, which is down from 3.4% in the previous month and down from 3.6% in December 2024.

Johnson County’s rate from November to December increased slightly from 3.2% to 3.3%.

The rate was at 3.2% in December of 2024.

The lowest unemployment rate in Wyoming for December was in Teton County at 2.6%, while the highest rate was in Carbon and Platte Counties at 4.6%.

Non-farm employment in the Cowboy State decreased by 800 jobs from December 2024 to December 2025.
