Novotny Retained as Johnson County Commission Chairman

Johnson County’s Commissioners held elections for their officers during their regular Tuesday meeting.

Commission Chairman Bill Novotny asked for nominations.

Commissioner Jeff Shelley nominated Novotny to continue as chairman for the coming year, which was seconded by Commissioner Steve Kozisek.

Novotny was elected to another term as chairman.

Kozisek then nominated Shelley as vice-chairman, which was seconded by Novotny.

Shelley was elected to another term as vice-chairman.
