Sheridan County GOP to Select County Assessor Candidates
With the official resignation of Sheridan County Assessor Paul Fall before the end of his elected term, Wyoming State Statute requires the Sheridan County Republican Party to meet and select three candidates to fill the vacancy. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
A media release issued by the Sheridan County Republican Party states that any candidates interested must demonstrate the desire and ability to hold the position of County Assessor, must be a resident of Sheridan County, must be a currently registered Republican, and must own real property in the county.
Anyone who is interested in the position must submit two items; a letter of intent; and a brief resume of qualifications. All submittals must be made to Sheridan County Republican Party Chairman James Temple by 5:00 pm Wednesday, January 14th. Please email documents to jamest4wyo@gmail.com.
The Sheridan County Republican Party Central Committee will meet on Thursday, January 15 at 6:00 pm at the Ramada Plaza Convention Center, 1809 Sugarland Drive, to interview and vote on all interested candidates. All interested candidates must attend the meeting in person. Once the County Party has selected three candidates, the names will be forwarded to the Sheridan County Board of County Commissioners who shall select Fall’s replacement.
