While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, WYO Performing Arts and Education Center Executive Director Erin Butler reported a full schedule as the historical theater begins 2026.

Butler said January used to be a somewhat quiet month at the WYO. But activities such as rehearsals, lessons, auditions and more now fill the spaces provided by its theaters. The WYO stage and screen has also become busier as the years have passed.

According to Butler, The Classic Western Series continues to be a major draw for the community during the first month of the new year.

The series will continue with a lineup that should appeal to longtime fans and newcomers alike, starting with Destry Rides Again, hosted by Craig Johnson, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11. The series picks up again the following weekend with There Was a Crooked Man, hosted by Bob Grammens, showing at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, before wrapping up later in the month with Cowboy, hosted by Tommy B, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25.
