Clearmont Students Spread Holiday Cheer

Students in Clearmont helped to spread a little Christmas cheer to area residents. On December 18, Clearmont K-12 School agriculture teacher and Clear Creek FFA advisor Amanda Schmidt said that students in grades 7–12 participated in a Christmas community engagement day.

The day was filled with service, generosity, and holiday spirit. Students began the morning by decorating Christmas cards and cookies to prepare for a day of spreading cheer throughout our communities.

The students then traveled by bus to Sheridan and Buffalo, where they visited local senior centers and VA homes. While there, students shared their crafted cards and decorated cookies, visited with residents, and helped brighten the holiday season through meaningful conversations and festive cheer.

After returning to campus, students continued their outreach by visiting the Clearmont
residents, once again sharing cards, cookies, and warm holiday wishes. This experience allowed students to connect with community members of all ages and reflect on the importance of service, kindness, and giving back during the Christmas season.

“This day of community engagement was a wonderful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact, and our students were proud to represent their school while spreading Christmas joy throughout the community,” Schmidt said.
