JCSD1 Enrollment Down Slightly District-Wide

Enrollment in the Johnson County School District dipped slightly according to a report to the school board dated October 31.

Overall, enrollment was at 1,094 students down from 1,099 the previous month.

By school, Meadowlark Elementary lost one student to sit at 186.

Clear Creek Middle School lost two students, sitting at 238.

Cloud Peak Elementary lost three, bringing their number of students to 222.

Buffalo High School was steady at 314 students.

New West Alternative High School also stayed at 30 students.

The Kaycee K-12 School added one student to sit at 104.

School districts in Wyoming track enrollment numbers because school funding is partially based on numbers of students enrolled.
