Sheridan Media reporter Pat Blair looks back in time, over 100 years ago, to the impact of Spanish influenza as reported in the pages of the Sheridan Enterprise in 1918.

Only five new cases of influenza were reported to the county health officer yesterday for the entire county, although no information was received from some of the physicians. Two deaths were reported during the two days that ended at noon today, Nov. 29. One death was a Sheridan man, the other the foreman of a construction crew in Ranchester who had been brought to the Red Cross emergency hospital.

Mrs. Ralph Denio, who has been ill with influenza in the Omaha hospital, is expected home in the near future.

The Presbyterian church has announced that all of the public activities of the church will open next Sunday morning.
