Utility Easement Vacation

A request for a utility easement vacation at 130 West Kooi Street in Sheridan was an item of discussion at this week’s Sheridan City Council study session. City Planner Kelly Schroeder said the applicant, Seven Pillars Resources, LLC, is requesting to vacate a 16-foot utility easement on the northwest side of lot one of the Mack Subdivision.

Schroeder said that staff sent notifications to 17 neighbors within three hundred feet by regular mail and that no utility companies or members of the public stated concerns with the request to vacate the easement, however, staff received one phone call from a neighboring property owner requesting more information on the vacation. The utility easement vacation will be considered in the form of a resolution by the City Council at an upcoming business meeting.
