Buffalo Council Announces Budget Meeting Dates

Buffalo’s City Council announced the dates for this year’s budget meetings leading up to adoption of their 2025-26 budget.

Mayor Shane Schrader said the council would have budget meetings at the end of April, and the final meeting on Thursday, May 1 at 7 a.m. at City Hall.

Mayor Schrader gave the dated for the annual spring cleanup days for city and county residents to rid their properties of trash and hazardous waste.

The spring cleanup is a joint effort between the city and Johnson County, and is an opportunity for both city and county residents to remove unwanted junk, trash, and other items from their properties and take them to the county landfill, with the city or county picking up the cost of the fees.

Also announced were the Department Head meeting May 6 at 7 a.m. in City Hall; the City/County meeting May 20 at 7 a.m. in City Hall; and the City Council meetings on May 6 and 20 at 5 p.m. in City Hall.
