Hidden Hoot Volunteer Night moves to new night

The Sheridan Community Land Trust has alerted Sheridan Media that the Hidden Hoot Trail Volunteer Night has been moved to Friday, May 2.
SCLT Recreation Program Manager Jared Koenig said that SCLT is making the move to give Hidden Hoot Trail more time to dry after the heavy precipitation.
Qdoba will still be providing burritos to everyone who volunteers to help in this community effort.
“Volunteer help is invaluable and will allow our community to continue experiencing the hoot in Hidden Hoot.” Koenig said.
The Hidden Hoot Trail Volunteer Night will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, May 2. According to SCLT, the night will conclude by 8 p.m. SCLT is inviting the community to come for whatever time your schedule allows or stay for the whole evening. Qdoba burritos will arrive at approximately 7 p.m.
SCLT is asking that volunteers meet at Black Tooth Park, Sheridan. Volunteers and staff will then carpool and ride bikes to specific sites that require the most attention. Volunteers will assist the SCLT team in smoothing the trail tread after the two-wheel tractor has repaired damage from hoofprints and ruts, as well as repair damage to bridges, sides, and other needed maintenance following winter.
SCLT is recommending that volunteers bring gloves, sunglasses or eye protection, sturdy shoes or boots, water, snacks, and your bike, running shoes, or hiking boots to enjoy the trail afterward. Please bring square shovels, hard-tooth rakes, pick mattocks, and McLeods if at all possible.
SCLT will provide tools, instruction, extra beverages, and fun. The staff at SCLT wished to thank the leadership and staff of Qdoba for donating burritos for everyone who volunteers to enjoy as the SCLT volunteers and staff kick off a fun season on the SCLT community trails.
