Aaron PalmerA group of people in Buffalo have stepped up to offer an Oktoberfest celebration this year and came before the Buffalo City Council recently to ask for some road closures and other variances to put the events on.
Claudia Todd, representing the group, explained more about what they have planned for the September celebration.
Todd said they will try to have some cattle and sheep parade through town as they do in Europe during Oktoberfest, and have face painting and other activities for kids in addition to the petting zoo.
The event is scheduled for September 12th from 12 to 3 in Crazy Woman Square and will then shift to Un’WINE’d from 3 to 10pm for more adult activities.
The council approved a street closure on Fetterman Street from Main to Lobban and a closure of the street with barracades in front of Un’WINE’d from 3 to 10.
Also approved were open container requests for both locations.
