As the weather changes and temperatures drop, early morning commuters are being asked by the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office to ensure their windshields are defrosted or defogged to allow for visibility.
Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Devearux Johnson suggested developing the habit of starting a vehicle earlier and giving it some time to defrost before heading out for the day.

Operating a motor vehicle of any kind with a frosted or fogged over windshield is also against the law.
Wyoming State Statute 31-5-955 Obstructed Windshield states that no person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sign, poster or other material or substance upon or crack within the front windshield, side or rear windows of the vehicle which materially obstructs, obscures or impairs the driver’s clear view of the highway or any intersecting highway.
