Fall Free Landfill Day

The fall free landfill day is Saturday, September 28 from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm at the City of Sheridan Landfill. City Recycling and Solid Waste Coordinator Seliena Parker says that all city and county residents can dispose of up to one ton of household trash at no charge per visit.

Any materials that are not covered or tarped will be subject to a surcharge of $11 per load for cars and trucks and $50 for all other vehicles and trailers. Parker said that they will be accepting household hazardous waste during the free landfill day.

Parker added that compost and wood chips will not be loaded during free landfill day.
