After careful consideration and discussions with the House Draw Fire Incident Command and Sheridan County Emergency Management, the decision has been made to lift the Voluntary Evacuation Notices originally issued in the area east of Double Cross Road, north of the Johnson County line to Highway 14.

This includes the Clearmont and Arvada areas.

While the House Draw Fire is not fully contained, please understand wind speed, and direction, can have a direct effect on how the fire activity will progress.

If fire conditions change that could potentially threaten the areas discussed above, notices will be issued and updates will be given regularly.

The Remington Fire is actively burning in the Northeast portion of Sheridan County and into Montana.

The fire activity in that area remains very high.

Please stay out of the area so firefighters can work effectively.

More information will be given as it becomes available.

The Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone involved in fighting the fires in these extreme conditions and the community for all of their support.

Please join us in keeping everyone involved in your thoughts and prayers.
