Aaron PalmerAt the recent City/County meeting with the Buffalo City Council and the Johnson County Commission, they discussed Buffalo’s Main Street Project, which is scheduled to begin this year and be completed in 2025.
The project bid opening was in early April, with the lowest bid coming from Croell, Inc. of Sundance in the amount of just over $17.1 million.
Both the city and county submitted letters of Concurrance on their portions of the project that are piggy-backed onto the WYDOT project.
According to discussions at the meeting, once WYDOT decides to award the bid, the contractor will begin planning for public meetings on the project.
This year the project will focus on the Parmalee to I-25 interchange and the I-90 interchange to Hart Street, the North and South Bypass Roads as well as the Cemetery Creek culvert.
The work on Main Street from Parmalee through downtown to Hart Street is scheduled for 2025.
Updates can be seen on the WYDOT District 4 Facebook page.
