Workforce Services Director Provides Update on Unemployment Insurance Benefits

Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Director Robin Cooley, at a news conference this week, provided an update on the agency’s efforts to expand call capacity to meet public demand from those applying for unemployment insurance benefits. Cooley urged people to apply for benefits by phone or online, instead of in person at their local workforce center.
Cooley talked about what the agency has done to help with the influx of claims that are coming in due to citizens being laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cooley said that currently, unemployment claims are being processed within two days from the date of filing with no waiting period.
