Last weekend for Noises Off

A comedy written by Michael Frayn, Noises Off, is a play within a play; a comedy that features a local cast slinging sardines, swinging axes and getting mixed up in three acts of mayhem.

Local actors Samantha Jacob and Aaron Odom, playing Selsdon Mowbray and Lloyd Dallas respectively, made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to discuss some of the process they have gone through since they began to meet in January for rehearsals.

With the pace of the story, rehearsals were critical. The play involves constant movement and transitions, intense dialog and a strong sense of timing. The story involves nine separate actors and backstage personnel attempting to produce a play while battling egos, love triangles and their greatest enemy; time.

Directed by Dan Cole, the comedy is playing at the WYO Theater, May 19-21 and is rated R for limited strong language.

Noises Off is produced in partnership with the WYO Theater and the Civic Theater Guild.
