Rare “Old Stone Age” treasures en route to the Museum at the Bighorns for March reopening

The Museum at the Bighorns is currently closed for the winter season, but will open its doors to the public once again March 1.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, museum Executive Director Dannielle Stuckle told listeners about the upcoming exhibit that will feature fossils from the paleolithic era.
Along with collections manager Jessica Salzman, Stuckle has been planning and preparing for the incoming fossils.
Much of the paleo exhibit will be on loan to the Museum at the Bighorns from Sheridan College for the next two years. Stuckle is currently developing programs that will keep the exhibit fresh, allowing for a unique experience through multiple visits.
The Museum at the Bighorns is actively searching for those interested in the paleolithic era to volunteer their time as possible instructors or guides to help inform the public on this unique time period in history which is also known as the “Old Stone Age”. Contact the museum at 675-1150.
