Aaron PalmerJohnson County School District #1 Facilities Director John Link, during his report to the school board this week, was asked about the progress being made at the Kaycee School for supplemental heat in classrooms that have had no heat since an incident with the building that occurred there last winter.
Superintendent Charles Auzqui explained to the board that the solution they are looking into would be radiant heat in the ceiling that would be added to those rooms that would be fire-marshal approved and then could be left there as a backup heating system, instead of tearing it back out once the building’s heating system is permanently fixed.
