Governor Gordon: ‘Wyoming Remains Strong Thanks to Her People’

Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon emphasized Wyoming’s strengths and opportunities in his State of the State address Monday. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Governor Gordon delivered his 2020 State of the State Address Monday before a Joint Session of the 65th Legislature, emphasizing the strength of the State, bright spots in Wyoming’s economy, and his successes from his first year in office.
Addressing both chambers of the Legislature before the opening of the 24-day budget session, Governor Gordon said that his budget charts a fiscally stable path, keeping ongoing spending flat, while curbing spending in areas including capital construction.
The Governor also addressed K-12 education funding.
Governor Gordon said that his administration will continue working to improve access and lower the cost of healthcare in the State through innovative approaches.
