City Council Approves Professional Services Agreement for Wastewater System Master Plan

The Sheridan City Council met for their first regularly scheduled meeting of April Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Master Plan

The master plan for the wastewater system for the City of Sheridan has been in place since 2008. Work on a new master plan will begin soon, as the City Council approved entering into a professional services agreement with DOWL for the 2022 Wastewater System Master Plan. City Utilities Director Dan Roberts said there is roughly 20-years of treatment capacity remaining in the wastewater treatment plant

The professional services agreement that the Council approved with DOWL is for an amount not to exceed $270,000. The master plan is scheduled to be completed by the consultant on November 30, 2022. Other business from the meeting included third and final reading approval of an ordinance for the collection of Special Improvement District #74 and award for the Rail Crossing Information System Project to Modern Electric in the amount of $144,000.
