Wyoming House District 29 Representative Mark Kinner is encouraging the Sheridan County public to attend a public meeting that will discuss the upcoming Redistricting of Region 5: Sheridan and Johnson Counties.

Every decade the U.S. Government requires a census of the American people to be taken. The U.S. Census Bureau clearly states the purpose of the census, writing on their website that the framers of the Constitution of the United States chose population to be the basis for sharing political power, not wealth or land.

Kinner told listeners of Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, the redistricting is a good and normal process for all voices to be heard.

A public meeting will be held at Sheridan College Monday, Oct. 4, 6 – 8 p.m. to explore ideas on the redistricting.

Should a resident not wish to attend the meeting in-person, there will be a ZOOM option to view the entire meeting LIVE streamed. The link for the ZOOM will be prepared and available on the Wyoming Legislative website, here.

Kinner provided a hand out with useful information that residents can view before the meeting takes place, to view that, click here.
