In April, 24-year-old Nathaniel Gideon of Sheridan was arrested by law enforcement for a domestic incident that occurred on April 17 at a residence in Sheridan County. Gideon, at an arraignment hearing Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan, entered “not guilty” pleas to the charges of Felony Strangulation of a Household Member and Misdemeanor Domestic Battery.

District Court Judge John Fenn scheduled a three-day jury trial for  November 15 and set the date for a pretrial conference for October 12 at 9:30 am. Gideon’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court. If convicted on both counts, Gideon faces over 10 years in prison and fines of over $10,000.
