SCSD#2 Announces New Principal of Sagebrush Elementary
At its board meeting on April 6, the Sheridan County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees approved Drew Gallagher as Sagebrush Elementary School principal. Gallagher will take the reins at Sagebrush in early August.
Gallagher’s career in education includes three years as a teacher at Sagebrush Elementary School. For the past five years, he has worked as a literacy coach at Sagebrush. Gallagher holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.

“Drew Gallagher is an exceptional leader and understands how to effectively support staff and ensure student learning is kept at the forefront,” said Scott Stults, Superintendent of Schools for SCSD2. “He makes the time to connect and build relationships with both students and staff, fostering an environment of trust, respect, and open communication. I look forward to the impact his demonstrated commitment to a culture of continuous learning will continue to have in our district.”
“I am humbled and honored with the opportunity to serve as the principal of Sagebrush Elementary,” said Gallagher. “The staff of Sagebrush is unmatched, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside them to fulfill our mission of ensuring high levels of learning for all of our students.”
Gallagher replaces outgoing principal Justin Rohrer, who will take over as assistant superintendent this July. A search is underway to fill the literacy coaching position vacated by Gallagher.
