Ron RichterEvery year on December 15 Red Grade Road in Sheridan County closes to all wheeled vehicle traffic and remains closed until April 1. During a recent appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan County Undersheriff, Lieutenant Devereaux Johnson said despite the mild winter we’ve had so far, Red Grade Road is indeed still closed.
Traveling past the road closure sign in a wheeled vehicle while the closure is in place is a violation of state statute and violators may be subject to a $575 fine. Johnson said the seasonal closure of wheeled vehicle traffic on Red Grade Road will end on April 1, 2024.
