Aaron PalmerThe Johnson County Tourism Association (JCTA) has hired an individual that will be in charge of marketing to bring in visitors to the area.
JCTA Board President Jody Sauers spoke to the Johnson County Commission at their recent regular meeting and gave more details.
Sauers said that she will bring him in to introduce him to the commission at an upcoming meeting.
She also gave a brief report to the commission through the third quarter of this year on tourism and other data for the state and Johnson County specifically, which showed a positive trend in visitation numbers with revenue slightly down overall for retailers.
