Sheridan Commission Awards Contract for Backup Generators Project

Aaron PalmerThe contract to upgrade the backup generator for the Sheridan County Courthouse and the addition of the of backup generators for the justice office, county attorney’s office, and the public health building has been awarded to Modern Electric Company of Sheridan.
According to County Administrative Director Renee Obermueller, the county received two bids, one from Modern Electric and the other from Mike’s Electric, Inc.
The bid from Modern Electric was less than the engineer’s estimate on the total project.
The base bid for the courthouse update was $437,000; with the additions of the justice office at $36,700; attorney’s office at $52,900; and the public health building at $61,900 for a total bid of $588,500.
