It was their 3rd shutout of their 4 home games, but the Sheridan Bronc football became only the 2nd team to accomplish something that only 1 other team has done twice.

Colson Coon ran for 3 touchdowns, which was more than enough, as the Broncs shutout Kelly Walsh 42-0 on Senior Night and Homecoming.

Sheridan became only the 2nd team to shutout both Casper schools in the same season.

The other team to do it was Campbell County in 1995 and 2000.

After trading turnovers, Coon scored his first on the last play of the first quarter to make the score 7-0.

In the 2nd quarter, a bad Kelly Walsh punt, allowed the Broncs to set up shop deep in KW territory.

Coon would score again, but the score was only 14-0 going into halftime.

In the 3rd quarter, the Sheridan offense got going.

Carter McComb scored on the first offensive play of the quarter, Coon added his 3rd TD later on, and then Carl Askins connected with Dom Kaszas, to push the advantage up to 35-0.

Michael Greer finished the scoring early in the 4th quarter.

With the win, Sheridan is now 6-1 on the season and in a 4-way tie for first place in 4A with Thunder Basin, Cheyenne East and Rock Springs.

The next scheduled game for the Broncs is on Friday, October 15th at Campbell County at 7pm.
