Troopers win State Tournament Opener / Rockies Fall at the Angels / Hawks Junior Hockey Getting Ready for 2021

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers beat Evanston 9-2 in their state tournament opener yesterday in Laramie, Daulton Nelson got the win going all 7 innings on the mound Caden Steel and Cody Kilpatrick had three hits a piece.

The Troops play Cheyenne today at 4:00 and we will have the live webstream of the game on our website at sheridanmedia.com.

Other games today loser out Evanston against Rock Springs and Casper vs Jackson

Winners games have the Troops against Cheyenne and Laramie and Gillette.

ROCKIES BASEBALL – Shohei Ohtani delivered an RBI single and allowed a run and five hits over seven innings of the Angels’ 6-2 downing or the Rockies.

Jack Mayfield added a two-run homer for the Angels, his fourth of the season and third in his last five games. They play again tonight 7:30 on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.

HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Hawks hockey program is getting ready to host their annual golf tournament at the powder horn next week, you can find out registration info on the Hawks website.

Hawks players start to arrive in Sheridan in August with the 2021 season starting in September.
