Ash Doke Of Big Horn HS To Receive Homer “Scotty” Scott Outstanding Citizen Award

The second class of recipients for the Scotty Scott Outstanding Citizen Awards will be honored during halftime of the 2025 Wyoming Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Game, set for June 14th at Cheney Alumni Field in Casper.

These prestigious awards celebrate the legacy of Homer “Scotty” Scott Jr., a beloved longtime
resident of Sheridan who passed away in October 2023.

Known for his passion for high school football and his unwavering commitment to community service, Scotty dedicated his life to supporting youth activities and making a positive impact throughout Wyoming.

Each recipient is selected based on nominations from their football coaches, recognizing their exceptional service, volunteerism, and character within their schools and communities.

One student-athlete from each class of football in Wyoming will receive a $500 scholarship, along with an additional $500 to donate to a local organization or program that holds personal
significance to them.

This award is made possible by the Homer & Janet Scott Family Foundation, honoring Scotty’s
spirit of generosity and dedication to youth.

The 2025 class includes the following student-athletes.

1A 6 man:
Bridger Cozzens from Little Snake River

1A 9 man:
William Knowlton from Southeast High School

2A:
Ash Doke from Big Horn High School

3A:
Ryan Cox from Riverton High School

4A:
Masen Wekele from Rock Springs High School
