Morning Sports: April 2, 2025

Sheridan HS Soccer: Both Sheridan High School soccer teams are off to an undefeated start, just 3 games into the season, and both have yet to allow a goal.
The Broncs are 2-0 with 1 tie and have outscored their opponents 11-zip.
Head Coach Wade Kinsey says what’s more impressive is that the team is not at 100% just yet.
Meanwhile the Lady Broncs are 3-0 and have outscored opponents 14-zip.
Up next is a non-conference game against Buffalo and Sheridan Head Coach Josh Dube says this is a good time to calm down a bit, and fine tune a few things before the team gets into the meat of their schedule.
Due to a shortage of available officials, the games vs. Buffalo will be played tomorrow instead of Friday and both games will be played in Sheridan.
Start times are at 4 and 6pm.
University of Wyoming Football: Spring practice continues for the Wyoming Cowboys as the team enters week 2 of 5.
This past Saturday marked the first time the Pokes put the pads on and the team was able to be a little more physical.
Head coach Jay sawvel says a lot of players remember the bad breaks that happened in last year’s 3-9 season, and there are some reminders of that season hanging around in some ways and there is something missing.
UW will practice again tomorrow and Saturday this week.
After Saturday, the team will put on a youth clinic.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: Yesterday was an off day for the Colorado Rockies.
Today is Game 2 of their 3-game series at Philadelphia.
First pitch is scheduled for 4:45pm.
The home opener is this coming Friday against the Athletics.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets had last night’s game won in double overtime at home vs. Minnesota, until one thing went wrong.
The Timberwolves missed a 3 at the buzzer and it looked like the Nuggets were going to win 139-138, until Russell Westbrook was called for a foul on the shot.
Minnesota hit 2 of 3 free throws to get the win 140-139.
In that game Nikola Jokic had a triple-double and scored 61 points.
Denver next plays today at home vs. San Antonio, starting at 7pm.
