Sheridan HS Football: For the 7th time in 8 years, the Sheridan High School Football Team is going to Laramie to try to win a state championship.
This past Saturday the Broncs won at home in their semifinal matchup vs. Natrona County 24-8.
Head Coach Jeff Mowry says the running game and offensive line did great in the first half, but not so well in the second half, and he takes the blame for that.
On the up side, it didn’t hurt much.

Sheridan will play this Saturday at 4pm, vs. Cheyenne East in the 4A State Championship game, for the 3rd year in a row.
Big Horn HS Football: Also for the 3rd year in a row, Big Horn is going to Laramie.
Back on Friday, the Rams trailed at home vs. Lovell 25-14 early in the 3rd quarter in the 2A semifinals, then took control from there and went on to win 35-25.
BH will play this coming Friday in the 2A State Championship at 12-noon vs. Cokeville.
Big Horn HS Volleyball: For the 2nd year in a row and for the 3rd time in 4 years, the Lady Rams are the queens of the 2A volleyball court.
At the State Tournament in Casper this past weekend, the Lady Rams swept Big Piney in the first round, beat Pine Bluffs 3-1 in the semi-finals, and that would put them in the championship match vs. Tongue River.
The Lady Eagles would win the first set, but then BH would storm back to win the last 3 to claim the crown.
Senior Emme Mullinax says even though this was the 4th time that her team has played TR this season, she knew there was a mental advantage.

Sheridan HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan placed 6th at the 4A State meet held this past weekend at Cheyenne East.
Sophomore Hannah Mowry finished 3rd in both the 100 yard butterfly and 100 yard breaststroke, while freshman Liah Fjell was 3rd in 50 yard freestyle.
Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks split weekend games at Bozeman.
The team won on Friday 4-3, and lost on Saturday 4-1.
Sheridan is back at home for the next 3 games, starting this Friday and Saturday with 2 games vs. Cody.
The puck drops both nights at 7:30pm.
University of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboys had last week off from competition.
This week is the Border War, also known as Sheep Week.
The Pokes play this Friday at Colorado State.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.
University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys won yesterday afternoon at home vs. Tennessee State 81-66.
Obi Agbim led all scorers with 24 points for the Pokes.
Jordan Nesbitt added in 15 and Kobe Newton contributed with 11.
The Brown and Gold shot 52% for the game, including 50% from 3-point land.
The defense held the opposition to 37% shooting.
The only downside was that UW shot 50% from the charity stripe.
Wyoming is 2-0 on the season and will next play this coming Wednesday at Texas Tech.
Meanwhile, the Wyoming Cowgirls fell to 0-2 on the season, as they lost this past Saturday at BYU 76-63.
Allyson Fertig had a double-double for the ladies with 22 points and 18 rebounds.
Malene Pedersen had 15 and Tess Barnes put in 11.
UW was up 40-27 at halftime, but was outscored in the 3rd quarter 31-6, on just 1 of 12 shooting.
On top of that, the bench did not contribute at all.
The Cowgirls next play this coming Wednesday at home vs. Regis University.
Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos had the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs on the ropes yesterday afternoon, but the game winning field goal was blocked, and KC escaped with a 16-14 win.
Quarterback Bo Nix was 22 of 30 passing for 215 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Catching those TDs were Devaughn Vele and Courtland Sutton.
The Broncos are now 5-5 on the season and return home to play Atlanta this Sunday.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2:05pm.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won both home games this past weekend, winning on Friday vs. Miami, 135-122 and yesterday vs. Dallas 122-120.
The Nuggets next play on Friday at New Orleans.
Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won on Saturday at home vs. Carolina 6-4.
The Avs next play tonight at home vs. Nashville starting at 7 o’clock.
