A Buffalo High School grad, former UW Cowboy and NFL player is going to teach some youngsters how to play the game.
Chris Prosinski will take part in a 1-day football camp on Tuesday, August 13th at Clear Creek Middle School football field in Buffalo.
The camp is free and will run from 9 until 11am for those in 1st through 5th grade, and noon until 2pm for those in grades 6-8.
Prosinski says now that he’s out of the game, it’s time he starts teaching the younger generation.
“It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for awhile. Obviously with my past career in football, it was kind of hard to put everything together, which is how busy I was, and then we moved back 3-4 years ago and job and kids, I wasn’t able to do it, so I feel like things have kind of settled down now to where I feel like I’m in a good place and fortunate enough to partner with the Boys and Girls Club on it, and just looking to have fun and hopefully the kids can learn a few things out of it.”
Prosinski is a 2006 graduate of Buffalo High School and helped the Bison win the football state championship as a junior and senior.
He played for the Wyoming Cowboys up until 2010.
In 2011 he was a 4th round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars and he played 3 seasons plus for the team.
After that he played for ½ of a season with the Philadelphia Eagles, and then the last 3 years of his pro career with the Chicago Bears.
