Jets Eliminated From Their State Tournament / Rockies Host Oakland Tonight / The 2023 Fall Sports Season Starts a Week From Monday

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The American Legion baseball season for 2023 can to an end Thursday for Sheridan with the Sheridan Jets eliminated from the state “A” tournament.

For the Jets it was early fireworks starting their game with Lovell the Jets scored five runs in the top of the first inning then Lovell came back with five of their own then blew the game open with six more in the 3rd inning and that was all it took as the Jets dropped the game 14-7.

In other action Thursday Torrington knocked out Green River 11-8 in the winners bracket games Cody bombed Douglas 17-5 and Powell beat Casper 9-2.

Games today will have Lovell and Douglas at 1:00 then Torringtojn vs Casper at 4:00 and Cody will face Powell at 7:00.

At the “AA” tournament in Jackson Thursday Casper eliminated Gillette 7-3 and Cheyenne post 6 eliminated Laramie 8-3 that sets up today’s championship with Casper taking on the Sixers, Casper would have to win twice today to take the title.
