Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers dropped 3 of 4 over the weekend as they hosted games with Cheyenne Post 6 and the Billings Scarlets, the highlight of the weekend was Sunday’s 4-3 victory over Post 6.

This week the Troopers have two more home double headers, Friday night they host the Billings Royals the first game will start at 5:30, Saturday they will play two with Bozeman, Montana the first game is scheduled for 1:00.

SOCCER – The Lady Bronc soccer team split games over the weekend losing 3-0 at Laramie then came back with a 6-0 victory at Cheyenne South.

The Broncs and Laramie played to a scoreless draw Friday, the Broncs then picked up a 2-1 win over Cheyenne South.

This week they have Cheyenne Central and East on the schedule the Broncs will be the road team this week while the Lady Broncs play at home, game times Friday have the JV’s at 4:00 and the varsity at 6:00 Saturday’s games will go at 10:00 and noon.

TRACK AND FIELD – Sheridan high school hosted the annual “Dan Hansen” track invitational Saturday the Broncs and Lady Broncs took the team titles, full team and individual results are posted on our sports page at sheridanmedia.com.

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies lost 9-3 at Philadelphia Sunday today they open a series at Cleveland first pitch is at 4:10, you can hear Rockies baseball this season live on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
