Weekend Sports Wrap up

HIGH SCHOOL WINTER SPORTS – The high school winter sports season starts today with practice beginning for basketball and wrestling, the Bronc swimmers and divers start a week from today.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks swept the Badlands Sabres on the weekend by scores of 8-4 and 6-1, the Hawks have won for in a row and will play on the road the next two weeks starting this Friday and Saturday in Great Falls, Montana.

COWBOY BASKETBALL – The Wyoming basketball Cowboys beat Howard university then lost against Drake, they close out the Virgin Islands tournament today against Boston college at 3:45 this afternoon, you can hear it live on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM,

COWBOY FOOTBALL – The Wyoming football Cowboys lost a tough game against Boise state Saturday night, the Pokes forced a fumble with under a minute to play but an INT in the end zone ended the game with Boise state holding off the Pokes 20-17.

After the loss Head coach Craig Bohl says the last call of the game is on him.

And he went onto say all they can do now is to get ready to end the regular season at Fresno state Friday night.

BRONCO FOOTBALL – The Denver broncos lost to the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday 23-16 in overtime, they play at the Carolina Panthers Sunday.
