The 2022 regular season has concluded on it’s on to the regional tournaments.
Sheridan:
The Lady Broncs were swept in both matches against the Gillette teams, losing on Friday at Campbell County 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-19) and on Saturday at home vs. Thunder Basin 3-0 (29-27, 25-12, 25-8).
Sheridan is 8-21 on the season with an 1-5 record in the 4A Northeast.
The 4A East Regional Tournament is at Cheyenne East.
The Lady Broncs will begin play on Friday, October 28th as the #4 seed out of the northeast, and will face Laramie, the #1 seed out of the southeast, in the first round at 10am.
Big Horn:
The Lady Rams finished the regular season on a high note with a Friday win at Sundance 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-17) and a Saturday win home vs. Greybull 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-17).
BH is 25-8 on the season with a 5-1 record in the 2A Northeast, tied with Wright for 1st, but the Lady Rams won the tie-breaker, because Big Horn beat Wright in 3 sets, whereas Wright beat the Lady Rams in 4 sets.
The 2A East Regional Tournament is at Burns.
BH will begin play on Friday, October 28th as the #1 seed out of the northeast, and will face Lusk, the #4 seed out of the southeast, in the first round at noon.
Tongue River:
The Lady Eagles split their matches this week, losing Friday at Wright 3-1 (25-14, 25-21, 23-25, 25-17) then won on Saturday at home vs. Rocky Mountain 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-19).
TR is 12-15-2 on the season with an 0-6 record in the 2A Northeast.
The 2A East Regional Tournament is at Burns.
Tongue River will begin play on Friday, October 28th as the #4 seed out of the northeast, and will face Burns, the #1 seed out of the southeast, in the first round at 3pm.
Arvada-Clearmont:
The Lady Panthers were 2-2 on the week, to close out the regular season.
On Tuesday, A-C won at Buffalo JV 2-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-21), then lost on Friday at Hulett 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-3).
On Saturday, Arvada-Clearmont played twice at Ten Sleep, losing first vs. Dubois 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-12), then turned around and beat the Lady Pioneers 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-22).
The Lady Panthers are 7-14-1 on the season, with a 1-7 record in the 1A Northeast tied with Midwest for the #4 seed, and split head-to-head matches vs. the Lady Oilers.
A regional play-in game will take place on Monday, October 24th, between A-C and Midwest beginning at 5pm.
The winner moves on to the 1A East Regional Tournament at Southeast on Friday and Saturday, October 28th and 29th.
The season is over for the loser.
