Troopers Baseball – The Sheridan Troopers are looking to regroup after losing both games of a conference double-header at home vs. Cheyenne back on Monday.
Coach Ben Phillips attributed the loss to not playing any games in nearly 7 days beforehand.
With less than 1 month to go in the season, the schedule is going to pick-up as the team heads to a tournament in Billings, this weekend and one in Bozeman next weekend.
Phillips adds all those games should iron out the kinks in the system before the return home for their final conference games vs. Gillette and Rock Springs.
The Sheridan Jets dropped both games of a doubleheader yesterday at Lovell, losing 9-5 and 7-6. They will be back in action tomorrow at home vs. Powell beginning at 5pm.
Sheridan HS AD Don Julian Retires – After 15 years as the Sheridan High School activities director, Don Julian’s tenure officially ends tomorrow.
During his entire career, he’s also spent sometime as the Riverton high school football coach winning state championships in 1994, 97, 98 and 99.
After that he went to the University of Wyoming serving as an assistant coach, as well as director of football operations, and assistant athletic director.
He took over at Sheridan in 2007, and in his 11 years doubling as the Sheridan High School football coach, he led the Broncs to state championships in 2009, 2011, 2015, 16 and 17.
Julian says since his high school days in Kemmerer, a lot has changed with how various games are played as well as the equipment and technology used for the games…but at least 1 thing has remained consistent.
Kasey Garnhart will officially take over as the Sheridan High School Activities Director this Friday.
Rockies Make It 2 In A Row vs. LA Dodgers – The Colorado Rockies made it 2 in row at home as they beat the LA Dodgers 7-4.

The Rockies will go for the 3-game sweep tonight at 6:40.
