Trooper Baseball Starts April 23rd / Rockies Open at Home Friday Against the Dodgers

TROOPER BASEBALL – Sheridan American Legion baseball practice is underway, the Troopers will start with three road dates in Gillette and Spearfish, South Dakota April 23rd,24th and 30th.

The home opener is scheduled on Sunday May 1st when host two games with Bozeman, Montana.

At Thorne – Rider stadium Tuesday the Troopers went through a windy but fast paced workout and Head coach Ben Phillips says they worked a lot on fundamentals yesterday and he says that’s the name of the game.

And the players have a whole lot more energy now that they’ve started practice outside.

and the numbers throughout the program are way up as Sheridan American legion baseball will feature four age group teams this season.

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies open the the MLB regular season Friday hosting a three game Homestand against the LA Dodgers.

Friday’s season opener will start with the first pitch at 2:10 Rockies baseball can be heard all season long on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.

SOCCER – The Sheridan high school soccer teams have Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East on the schedule this week the Lady Broncs will play at home with games times Friday at 4:00 and 6:00 Saturday the host East at 10:00 and noon

TRACK AND FIELD – The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams will compete at the Queen city invitational in Spearfish, South Dakota Friday.

The Tongue River track teams host their own meet Friday the Big Horn teams are also scheduled to compete.

GOLF – The high school spring golf season tees off Friday the Broncs and Lady Broncs will play at Worland.

TENNIS – The Sheridan high school tennis teams open their spring season at an invitational in Hardin, Montana next week.
