Sylvia Sadler passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on January 10, 2024.
Sylvia was born on October 8, 1934, in Sheridan, Wyoming, with 13 siblings, to Clifford Carl and Catherine Alicia Wiberg. She graduated from Sheridan High School and attended Sheridan College.
She married Edgar Ross Sadler on March 5, 1952, in Sheridan, Wyoming. The two enjoyed a wonderful life together for 61 years in Sheridan, where they raised their three children.
Her dedication to her work and loyalty to the community and her family were some of her greatest attributes. She loved spending time with family, being in the mountains, fishing, taking trips, cooking, and actively participating with 4-H leadership and youth, and the women’s club. She was a member of Holy Name Church and regularly attended church services. She was always sewing, knitting, and making dolls. She enjoyed learning new things, crafting, and teaching others.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Catherine Wiberg, her husband Ross Sadler, her sisters, Alicia Russell, Bridget LaMont, Doretta Dunham, and her brother Clifford Wiberg Jr..
Sylvia is survived by her children, Kayleen Gilliland (James), Craig Sadler, and Clifford Sadler, her grandchildren, Henry Gilliland (Oaklee), Kerri Williamson (Terry), Mark Gilliland, Catherine (Katie) Sadler, Charlie Sadler (Malory), and her great-grandchildren, as well as numerous siblings, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
Graveside services will be at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery on Friday, January 26th at 11:00 am.
In place of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Name Catholic Church, 260 E. Loucks, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801.
