Due to the lack of snow in the area, the Trail End State Historic Site has been forced to cancel the Family Sled Day at the Kendrick Mansion.
The announcement was made by Sheridan Community Land Trust Director of Marketing and Development Chris Vrba during an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program. But Vrba told listeners that there are events that will still happen to keep recreationalists busy.
Antelope Butte’s WYO Winter Rodeo Kickoff will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12.
According to Sheridan County Travel and Tourism, the Black Mountain Nordic Ski Club will host a moonlight ski event at Sibley Lake, off Highway 14 in the Bighorn Mountains also Feb. 12. The Moonlight Ski events are free; all fat bikers, Nordic skiers, and snowshoe enthusiasts are welcome.
The Snow Ball, which will be held at the Barn in Big Horn, is still scheduled for Feb. 17.
