Barrasso Backs Bill to Halt Federal Vaccine Mandate
U.S. Senator John Barrasso (WY) voted Wednesday to block President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate on private workers. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The measure to nullify President Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine rule and testing requirements for private businesses passed by a vote of 52 to 48. Democrats Jon Tester of Montana and Joe Manchin of West Virginia joined every Senate Republican in a bipartisan vote to approve the resolution. During a news conference held just prior to the vote, Senator John Barrasso (R) said the president’s unconstitutional mandate on private businesses is government overreach at its worst and it turns employers into the vaccine police.
The Congressional Review Act (CRA) can be used by Congress to overturn certain federal agency regulations and actions through a joint resolution of disapproval. If a CRA joint resolution of disapproval is approved by both houses of Congress and signed by the President, or if Congress successfully overrides a presidential veto, the rule at issue is invalidated. The resolution now moves to the U.S. House of Representatives for consideration.

I can see why your rating from the AMA a was a C- (well let’s be honest – your rating is 2.3 out of 5- but as an old teacher I often gave people a raise to a C- when I realized they were just too dumb to get it). And on another subject, when you brag about balancing the state budget (as if you had a choice given the State Constitution) and ignore the fact that states can do that because they know that in cases of emergency (forest fires, floods, droughts or pandemics) the federal government will bail them out by using deficit spending as recommended by every economist from Keynes to Krugman. No politician has a right to force anyone to do anything medically! To get a shot or not is the right of the individual per the Constitution and is a decision that should be made between a person and their doctor. F- for you in medicine, ethics and government! I personally appreciate Sen. Barrasso for upholding the Constitution, for his support of our military and veterans and Wyoming as a whole!

ray, what grade would you give the FDA for asking a judge to grant them a 55 year period to process the vaccine data for FOIA requests? This old teacher would give them an F-, and ask them what theyre trying to hide.

Once again you read the Reddit headline and skipped the Reuters article. Please do your homework- the FDA has proposed releasing 500 pages a month of the documents as they are vetted for trade secrets of the drug companies- the filers of the petition before the court want more each month- nobody said anything about sitting on the info for 55 years that’s the estimate by the filers of how long it would take to release all the info at 500 pages a month. FDA says that’s an exaggeration because much of the mountain of paper represents duplications.

…schools across the USA already mandate and require vaccinations (MMR vaccination) mumps, measles, chicken pox…(DPT vaccination) diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus plus hepatitis B…so it may be those school vaccine mandates set a precedent for the supreme court to base their decision for a federal vaccine mandate especially in the event of public health pandemics or war time crises…it’s a matter of national security…Barrasso is a doctor?…?…sic

Dr. Barrasso – probably best you are no longer practicing medicine since you violate your medical profession and don’t act or speak up for the patient’s best interest. Pretty obvious by now that not getting COVID vaccinated leads to poor outcomes for individuals and community, and you yet you don’t offer solutions to promote it. This is consistent as a practicing politician though, you pander to dim voters, seeking to remain in power for personal reason – apparently to line your pockets, live the good life and appear as someone great. And you also violated your oath to protect the US constitution as a Senator, saying nothing when the GOP tried to prevent peaceful transfer of the presidency in order to remain in power despite an election loss. Again, you were silent for personal reasons – you too would keep power and prestige. In both cases when you must know better. No integrity, no character Dr.

I speak for my own best medical interests dennis, so I dont need a politician to do that for me. Last time I looked, the mRNA vaccines are still free and available for you to take…..along with the reportedly 6 boosters you will need to take annually for the rest of your life.
