The Member Pop-Up Show opens today at SAGE Community Arts

Sage Community Arts Executive Director Jill Benson has spent some of her time this past year developing partnerships with Sheridan’s 501c3s, in an effort to benefit the city’s nonprofit organizations and sustain community interest in the arts.
As part of this ongoing effort, Sage Community Arts will present the Members Pop-Up Show in partnership with three of Sheridan’s nonprofit organizations.
The Member Pop-Up Show is an exhibit displaying the artistic creations of SAGE Community Art’s members. The show begins Dec. 7.
In lieu of an artist reception, the public is invited to join SAGE Community Arts for three open houses. The events will be held each Thursday until Christmas Day to celebrate the Members Pop-Up Show. This end of year show will feature work by SAGE members in both gallery spaces.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Benson spoke on the importance of the partnership’s she and her team have developed.
The open house receptions will begin at 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., each Thursday of the month; Dec. 9, 16, and 23. Each event will include and feature a different 501c3 partnership. Each day that SAGE is partnered, SAGE’s share of the day’s commission will be split with the partner non-profit.

The first night will be co-hosted with Uprising. The second event will be co-hosted with Veteran Village, and the final night will be co-hosted with Sheridan Community Land Trust.
Refreshments for the open houses will be provided by Verdello and Black Tooth Brewing.

A virtual preview of the show is available here. For additional information on the Member Pop-Up Show, please contact Jill Benson, SAGE Executive Director at director@sageart.org or call 307-674-1970.
