Forever West Songwriter Festival Set for Early September

Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Forever West Songwriter Festival that is scheduled for September 9 through the 11 in Sheridan. The Forever West Songwriter Festival is a unique celebration of music and western heritage featuring legendary songwriters Frank Myers, Anthony Smith, Wynn Varble, Brice Long, and special musical guest Cory Leone Johnson. These artists have written hits for the likes of Brad Paisley, Lonestar, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Chris Young, Hank Williams Jr, Reba McEntire, and Chris Stapleton.

The inaugural event will also feature homegrown Wyoming talent, with a special performance on Saturday, September 11, when Nashville and Wyoming songwriters, including Sarah Sample and Dugan Irby, come together to perform at the historic WYO Theater. Opening night, Thursday, September 9 will take place at Spear-O-Wigwam in the Bighorn Mountains. All of the other shows will take place at the WYO Theater in downtown Sheridan.
