Fire Crews Battling Blaze In Tri-County Area

Fire crews in rural Campbell County are battling a wildland fire southeast of Arvada.
As of 8pm Tuesday (July 28th), the Deer Creek 2 fire has burned about 2,800 acres in the tri-county area of Campbell, Sheridan and Johnson Counties.
Hot, dry conditions and very rough terrain have hampered containment efforts.
A type 3 incident management team has been assigned to the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
