JCHC Board Ratifies EKG Machine Purchase

Published

The Hospital Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center recently discussed the need for purchasing a new electrocardiogram (EKG) machine for the clinic.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Shelli Shelton explained further.

The board had approved necessary purchases for the JCHC by CEO Luke Senden for up to $50,000 without board approval.

The board just needs to be informed and approve them at their next meeting.

According to mayoclinic.org. an electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) is a quick test to check the heartbeat. It records the electrical signals in the heart. Test results can help diagnose heart attacks and irregular heartbeats, called arrhythmia.
